Last year, the Snows had a Little Snow, and of course I began frothing at the mouth to do their family photos. Enjoy!!
My first week in a new province: This lovely lady ran up to me and said, "Are you Katie Hawkins?! Our mutual friend ______ told me you just moved here! I'm Stephanie! We're going to be best friends!!!" Or something to that effect :) This was followed by a big hug, and we (and our husbands) became fast friends. Last year, the Snows had a Little Snow, and of course I began frothing at the mouth to do their family photos. Enjoy!! This child is just a little ray of sunshine. Even when he's making a pouty bear face, he's still insanely gorgeous :) My favorite few photos of the day: I love this first one so much, it's currently my profile pic for my facebook fan page :) My Snow friends are really, really, ridiculously good-looking (you know, like ZOOLANDER good looking!) I don't normally have much love for b&w photos, but I am feeling full of happiness about these........ The End :)

I met the Simmons family through the church I attend here in NFLD. Their kids are so, so, SO insanely beautiful! The first thing their mom said to them when we met up for our shoot, was, "Guys, this is Miss Kate, from church. You need to listen to her when she speaks." Have you ever had the joy of being called "Miss (insert your own name here...if you're a woman)" by people under the age of 10!? It is the MOST PRECIOUS thing. Dad has recently become a stay-at-home Dad, so Mom thought this would make a pretty cute conceptual picture. I agree :) I could just bite those little feet! My hands down favorite from the whole day :) Love the hats...loveloveLOVE the expressions...one in particular :) I may be over-blogging this one. But I don't care. Last one, I promise :)
This beautiful family was the first of my Tuesday shoots- if you look up "adorable" in the dictionary, there WILL be a picture of this little man next to it!! As you can see, "George" (the teddy bear monkey) was within reach throughout the whole session :) Can you think of anything cuter than this little face? I can't.
My #1 favorite from their session: Holy toledo (is that still a saying?); these two are so stinkin' good-looking! This was an early a.m shoot, and I hope know how happy Michael was about having to get up this early to smile for a camera...but he handled it well! Check out the gorgeousness! So now you're thinking, "I want to take pictures in that amazing field where the light is always perfect!" Welllll you can't. This is my one perk I get from having to live on a Very Small Island :) Right before snapping the following photo.... Me: "Ok...I wish I had your eyes! You have the most gorgeous eyes!!" Michael: "Aww, thanks! That's a nice thing to say!" BAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!! I have a feeling this guy, my hubby, and their similar senses of humor would get along great :) And now we have.................MY FAVORITE PHOTO OF THE DAY!!! I love Love. That's all.
This gorgeous family flew in from NS for their Little Miss "P" to be baptized in her family's church. I'm very happy they made this decision...because...it meant I got to take these pictures!!! It was a blustery day on this Very Small Island, but Little Pea handled it like a pro! Love love LOVE her face in this one! Then indoors for a few photos without that darn old wind! IN LOVE with these bright little eyes!
Beautiful Mrs. Butler is going to be a mommy for the second time! Can you say, "Holy Cute Preggo" ?! And of course we needed to get some shots of Little Miss "I" !!! LOVING the tutu! Let me just say it ONE more time...I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job :)
This shoot I was UBER (I love that word) excited for, because not only do these little men have the most stunning eyes, I also got to do this shoot on my Very Small Island! This is exciting because : a) I don't have to take the boat back home after the shoot, and b) I know many more great nooks and crannies for shooting than I do when over in town! This Very Small Island, like most towns, has a few more run-down areas, BUT that makes for some amazing settings for photos. I think we've all been introduced to my love for faded, rugged, falling down buildings...fences...piers...tractors...etc. So without further ado....Mr. "J" and Little "D"!!! Remember in the old Archie comics, the principle used to say "Egads!!" as an exclamation word? I never have understood what it MEANS, BUT I feel like I could use it to say, "Egads! This child is pure gorgeousness!!" HOLY EYELASHES! Are you KIDDING me?!
This beautiful family lived next door to us when we first moved to our Very Small Island...and I wish they had never moved away, because then I'd get to see these precious boys every single day! Love love LOVE these little faces!!! Gorgeous family!!!
I was SO excited for this shoot! I did the Butler's family photos last October, and now THIS October they're pregnant again! I can't wait to meet the little person that's living in her belly :) Can we all just take a moment, and pause to reflect on the cuteness that is Little Miss Butler?!? The gorgeous Butlers...soon to be "Momma" and "Daddy" again for second time!! Now. Before checking out this next picture, you need to understand how I feel about birds... I'm scared of seagulls. I run, sometimes screaming, from Chickadees. I DREAD having to walk near the pigeons at Bowring Park, for fear they will fly at my face and peck out my eyes. So when THIS creature stuck it's head into my frame, my natural reaction was, "But how do you KNOW it won't fly over the fence and chase me?! It's LOOKING at me!" Bleeeeck. And finally, my favorite photo(s) of the shoot. I want to canvas these. But that might be weird... The End!
This beautiful family was my first in a long weekend of shoots. We had a crazy windy day (although I guess for NFLD, that's not so strange...) but it made for some great beach shots! Can you BELIEVE how beautiful these girls are?! I want to someday have 4 daughters who are best friends! It looks like so much fun :) This beautiful family was my first in a long weekend of shoots. I started to say, "Won't don't we put you guys up in the tree"....and before the words were even out, 2 of them were already IN the tree, and the other 2 were swinging off the lower branches, waiting for Dad to lift them up higher! SO pretty!
